About Sheela
Welcome! My name is Sheela Masand and I am truly grateful that you have taken the time to visit my site, thank you. I am offering you an insight into my life and I look forward to the same opportunity with you soon.
Who Am I
I am someone you can totally trust and depend on to be there at all times. I am calm, compassionate, giving, caring, honest, a very good listener and have developed a very positive attitude. Over the last few years through my experience with yoga and meditation and lots of personal development books, I realised that life is what we make of it and so I decided a positive attitude would be part of mine. I know the trauma caused by the effects of alcoholism, domestic violence and marital affairs on families. I am also very close to a couple with children who have autism and understand how this can impact on a family.
WHERE I'VE BEEN
I was born in Leicester, England to an English mum and an Indian dad, quite an unusual occurrence back in the 1960's and I am the eldest of three children. After spending my first 19 years in Leicester, I decided to spend a couple of years in the States. This experience gave me the "travel bug" and so I joined Thomson Holidays to see the world and ended up getting married and settling down in Benidorm on the Costa Blanca in Spain! I've been here for 23 years now and have two beautiful daughters, ages 17 and 20.
MY PASSIONS
There have been ups and downs with relationships over the years (nobody's perfect!), but I'm very happy to say that I now have a wonderful man in my life, Mark. He is a yoga teacher and landscape gardeneer. I am passionate about many things in life some of which include yoga, nutrition and health, non violence and personal development. My biggest passion at this point in time is my business which luckily for me, embodies nearly all my other passions!
MY CAREER HISTORY
As a school leaver I had little ambition, nobody ever told me I could do or be anything I wanted, if only they had! I trained as a medical secretary for 2 years and then went to the States where I explored the area and worked in the service industry. Back in the UK I wanted more excitement than my previous secretarial post could offer so I became a travel rep and found myself in Spain. At this point my future husband entered my life and I found myself in love so settled down ahead of schedule! Next step was babies and then out into the working world again where I set up business, through a chance meeting that led to a remarkable man being my business partner for the next 10 years.
We ran a very successful food import business which gave me the opportunity to learn and grow in all areas of life. It was during that time that I hired the services of a business coach, a real eye opener. He not only helped me through some very stressful times in the business, but also gave me the courage to make changes on a personal level something I'm not sure I would have done on my own. I discovered then how empowering a coach could be.
As fate would have it, a friend dropped me an email letting me know a coaching course was starting the very next day and if I wanted to attend I would have to make up my mind now! It was one of the best decisions I have ever made! Life has never been the same since!
I also met a lady on the coaching course who spoke of a book called You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay. She told me how she had been confined to a wheelchair due to ME years before and that using the philosophies in this book she managed to get herself healthy again. I was intrigued and so after reading the book decided to take the training course. Wow! Another "best decision"! It was a magical week where I learned how to really help people go within and find their own healing.
I love helping people discover who they can be when they allow themselves the time to explore what they really want in life. I've seen someone who has been stuck in a job for years with no inclination for a career change not only attain their ideal job but also move countries!
I feel so blessed to be able to use my passion for helping people in such an inspiring way. I love my job and I am keen and happy to help you to take your life to the next level.
